CONNY tenant protection:
The alternative to the Hamburg tenants' association (Mieterverein)

As a KOMFORT or PREMIUM member, our partner lawyers will also represent you in court on your tenancy law problem. If your case goes to court, as a PREMIUM member you have no further costs to worry about at all. As a KOMFORT customer you only pay a handling fee of €50. By comparison, advice from a lawyer can very quickly cost a three-figure sum.

If you want to cancel your tenant protection, all it takes is an email. Simply cancel informally by sending an email to info@conny.legal. To cancel at the end of the contract term, you must observe a one-month notice period. We'll miss you!

If you don't cancel, the membership term is automatically extended by a further 12 months.

With the KOMFORT and PREMIUM memberships you receive legal expenses insurance for tenancy court proceedings from ARAG SE. The cover applies to the residential unit you occupy yourself as a tenant anywhere in Germany, including any associated garages and/or parking spaces. A separate membership must be taken out for second homes or holiday flats. In general, your cover extends to the representation of your interests in court – with no upper limit on the sum insured. More specifically, the cover includes the protection of your interests arising from:

• tenancy and lease agreements (e.g. rent increases, termination of the lease, keeping pets etc.)
• other rights of use (e.g. disputes over a right of residence, subletting etc.)
• rights in rem relating to your building, parts of the building or land (e.g. disputes over floor area)

Compared to a tenants' association, the membership has a term of only 12 months. Unless cancelled, the membership is automatically extended by a further 12 months.

By the way: if you want to upgrade, you don't have to wait until the end of the contract term. Simply write to info@conny.legal and we will adjust your membership. So you can switch from the BASIS plan to the KOMFORT or PREMIUM plan at any time. Switching from the KOMFORT to the PREMIUM plan is also possible.

Would you like to switch to a cheaper membership? You can easily do this at the end of the contract term. Just send us an email at least one month before the contract expires.
