What do you give in return?
Only this: you allow us to claim any refunds from your landlord for rent you have overpaid in the past, up to the moment your rent is lowered.

Whether we succeed is 100% our cost-risk. By assigning these possible claims to us, you have already done your part in full. After your rent is lowered, you can no longer ask for a refund yourself. Your financial benefit is the lower rent in the future. Our financial benefit is the chance to turn the possible refund claims against your landlord into money.
A model based on solidarity
Depending on the case and how skilfully and successfully we work, the amount your landlord has to pay us can sometimes be quite high. Cases that turn out to be very profitable for us make it possible to help every tenant with 100% cost-risk coverage — including tenants whose cases bring no or only very small refunds and therefore only cost us money. In this sense, we act in solidarity with all tenants.
You never get a bill from us
We are paid only from the claims you have assigned to us, which the landlord usually pays directly to us. In rare cases — and only when we lower your rent very fast (within a few weeks) — a minimum fee of 6 months of savings applies. We then charge you directly, but only for the part that is not already covered by the claims we have collected. This also helps us take on less profitable cases under our solidarity model.
But: you need to help us succeed for you
Please send us the information we need to push back against your landlord's arguments. And please do not go behind our back — for example, by talking directly to your landlord and then cancelling our mandate in the middle of the work. Give us a fair chance to cover our costs.
One thing always applies: you are in the driver's seat
If you feel we are not negotiating hard enough, you can always say "no". You never have to accept an offer from your landlord — not even one we recommend.
