Legal Tech Lawyer (m/f/d)
We work on one of the biggest challenges in our legal system: we want consumers to understand their rights and finally use them. To do that, we are building Europe's leading justice-as-a-service platform, www.conny.de. Customers can instruct us there in tenancy law matters. We enforce our customers' rights, simply and, for most of our services, with no cost risk for the customer. That puts enforcing your own rights within everyone's reach.

Your responsibilities
As a lawyer (m/f/d) you are part of our legal team. Your work covers:
- Handling consumer law cases (for example the rent cap (Mietpreisbremse), reclaiming bank account fees)
- Attending court hearings before local courts (Amtsgerichte) and regional courts (Landgerichte)
- Advising our customers and enforcing their rights, out of court and in court
- Helping to develop our litigation strategy
- Spotting where our legal tech platform can be continuously adjusted and refined
- Handling the company's internal legal matters
What you bring to the role
- Both German state examinations in law (erstes und zweites Staatsexamen) passed. With only the first state examination, you can join as a Junior Legal Manager / legal research associate
- A real interest in consumer protection and in using legal tech to enforce consumer rights
- A high level of commitment, reliability and self-organisation
- Openness to new ways of working and the willingness to take on responsibility
- You think in terms of the product, solve problems pragmatically and get things done
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience at another start-up, in tenancy law and/or in civil procedure is a plus
